Edy Blu
An enchanting singer and poetic songwriter, Edy Blu’s soulful music flirts with jazz, pop, blues and folk. Edy’s mixed race heritage and Virginia upbringing give her a unique perspective as she writes about everything from relationships to revolution. A country girl with an urban edge, Edy is an adventurer at heart and has called multiple cities and countries her home. Although a world traveler, she relocated back to Virginia in 2020 to reconnect with her roots.
Her energizing live performances are one of a kind and have garnered fans around the globe. In May 2016, she released her debut EP, Heart Opener, a catchy, danceable pop-soul project, recorded in Barcelona, Spain. An accomplished songwriter, her music has been featured in TV, radio, movies, and commercials all over the world.
Edy is a certified yoga teacher and has spent much of her life educating youth in the areas of cooking, fitness, and yoga. She believes in the healing power of music and it’s ability to shift culture and perspectives. Her upcoming release “Wild & Free” is a 5 song EP centered around women’s empowerment and living life untethered by society’s expectations.
